One of our co-owners was also one of the founders of DRAW Rescue, and when she opened her doors to the Muttropolitan, she continued her efforts in the rescue world.
And while we are still involved in the rescue world, DRAW has been absorbed into our business.
Dog Rescue Around Washington was founded in 2004 by a group of women who had each been involved in rescue for many years. They put their combined experience and passion into creating something they all believed in.
Over the years since it's inception, DRAW has grown and evolved and successfully placed well over a thousand dogs!
We all started with a sincere devotion specifically to Pit Bulls in need and although that strong connection is there, and we will always do what we can to help our heart breed, we have expanded our purpose. We have always accepted ANY breed into our program but our hearts will always be with the ones who suffer the most.
